Disassembly [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the claw.

      *1 Guide
      *2 Pin
    2. Disengage the guide and pin to remove the map light bracket.
    3. Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear assembly.

  2. REMOVE SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the screw and sliding roof piece sub-assembly LH.

      HINT: 

      Use the same procedure for the RH side.

    2. Slide and remove the sunshade trim sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration.

      *1 Protective Tape

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Then slide the rear roof drip channel in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) in the illustration to remove it.
  4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    NOTE:

    Do not disassemble the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly except when replacing it.

    1. Hold down the roof wind deflector panel sub-assembly.

    2. Using a screwdriver, slide the sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.

      HINT: 

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
      • Use the same procedure for the other sliding roof drive cable sub-assembly.
