Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Protective Tape
    2. Push the lower part of the mirror surface and tilt it.
    3. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws at the upper part of the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
    4. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the outer rear view mirror sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    5. w/ Mirror Heater:

      *A w/ Mirror Heater
      *B w/ EC Mirror
      *C w/ Blind Spot Monitor System
      1. Disconnect the 2 mirror heater connectors.
    6. w/ EC Mirror:
      1. Disengage the clamp.
      2. Disconnect the EC mirror connector.
    7. w/ Blind Spot Monitor System:
      1. Disengage the clamp.
      2. Disconnect the blind spot monitor indicator connector.
