Removal [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    NOTE:

    Removing the lower steering column cover in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.

    1. Release the tilt and telescopic lever, and fully extend and lower the steering column assembly.
    2. Lock the tilt and telescopic lever.
    3. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.

    4. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.

    5. Push the right and left sides of the lower steering column cover to disengage the 2 claws.

    6. Insert your fingers into the opening of the tilt lever of the lower steering column cover to disengage the 2 claws.

      HINT: 

      Spread the claws to disengage them.

  2. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips and 2 guides to separate the instrument cluster finish panel assembly from the upper steering column cover.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the upper steering column cover.

  3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect each connector.

    2. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw to remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      If the claw is pulled with excessive force, it may break.
