Inspection [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT REFRESHING SEAT SWITCH

    *a Component without harness connected
    (Refreshing Seat Switch)
    1. Check the refreshing seat switch.
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance

        W/ CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        4 - 6 Always 4 to 6 kΩ
        3 - 6 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on (Vol: max)
        (heater position)        		 3.92 to 5.88 kΩ
        Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on (Vol: max)
        (blower position)        		 80 to 120 Ω
        1 - 6 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on (Vol: max)
        (heater position)        		 3.92 to 5.88 kΩ
        Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on (Vol: max)
        (blower position)        		 80 to 120 Ω
        W/O CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM

        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        3 - 4 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) off 2.56 to 3.84 kΩ
        Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on (Vol: max) 256 to 384 Ω
        1 - 6 Refreshing seat switch (for RH) off 2.56 to 3.84 kΩ
        Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on (Vol: max) 256 to 384 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.

    2. Check operation of the refreshing seat switch indicator.
      1. Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check operation of the switch as shown in the table below.

        OK

        W/ CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM

        Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 7
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5        		 Always Illumination comes on
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 8        		 Always Indicator comes on
        (for LH)
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 9        		 Always Indicator comes on
        (for RH)
        W/O CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM

        Connection Condition Specified Condition
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 7
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 5        		 Always Illumination comes on
        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2
        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 10        		 Refreshing seat switch (for LH) on Indicator comes on
        (for LH)
        Refreshing seat switch (for RH) on Indicator comes on
        (for RH)

        If the result is not as specified, replace the refreshing seat switch.
