  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the I6 and I7 navigation ECU sub-assembly connectors.
    2. Disconnect the I135 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the I1 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the O19 and O20 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Measure the resistance between the navigation ECU sub-assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I6-1 (FR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I6-5 (FR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I6-2 (FL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the I135 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    2. Disconnect the I83 front No. 2 speaker assembly RH connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between the DCM (telematics transceiver) and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I135-5 (SPO+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I135-6 (SPO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the I83 and I1 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    2. Disconnect the I60 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

  6. INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) 
    1. Remove the DCM (telematics transceiver) (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the I6 and I7 navigation ECU sub-assembly connectors.
    2. Disconnect the I83 and I1 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    3. Disconnect the O19 and O20 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    4. Measure the resistance between the navigation ECU sub-assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

  10. REPLACE REAR NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the rear No. 2 speaker assembly with a new or known good one (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
    2. Clear the DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2014 - ] ).
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

      HINT: 

      • Connect all the connectors to the rear No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.
      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left rear No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.
      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.

    Result:

  11. INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the front No. 2 speaker assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      HINT: 

      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.
      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

  16. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the E9 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the I135 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
    3. Disconnect the K5 front No. 2 speaker assembly LH connector.
    4. Disconnect the I84 and I2 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.
    5. Disconnect the I60 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    6. Disconnect the O19 and O20 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.
    7. Disconnect the K14 and K15 rear header speaker assembly connectors.
    8. Disconnect the K13 and K16 rear speaker assembly connectors.
    9. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
