Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Jack Adapter [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the I8 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the I146 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I8-25 (ADPG) - I146-9 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-26 (VAR+) - I146-6 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-28 (VAL+) - I146-7 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-27 (VA-) - I146-8 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-11 (AGND) - I146-10 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-25 (ADPG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I8-26 (VAR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I8-28 (VAL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I8-27 (VA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I8-11 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

    Result: 

    OK 

    PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

    Result: 

    NG
