Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Telematics Transceiver [10/2014 - ]: Procedure

1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E11-17 (MUTE) - Body ground	Power switch on (ACC), audio system is playing → Emergency call mode	3.5 V or higher → Below 1 V

PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE

NG

1. Disconnect the E1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the E11 DCM (telematics transceiver) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E1-8 (TMUT) - E11-17 (MUTE)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E1-8 (TMUT) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Reconnect the E1 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
