Remote Engine Starter does not Operate [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Description

When the remote engine starter ECU receives a remote engine start/stop signal via the BERKES and CAN communication lines, the remote engine starter ECU transmits the signals to each ECU through the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN communication, and starts or stops the hybrid control system.

HINT: 

If all of the following conditions are met, the hybrid control system can be started using the remote hybrid control system starter function:

• The shift lever is in P.
• All doors are closed.
• All doors are locked.
• The engine hood is closed.
• The power switch is off.
• The power switch is not pressed.
• An engine speed signal is not input.
• A vehicle speed signal is not input.
• The brake pedal is not depressed.
• The theft deterrent system is not in the alarm sounding state (except panic alarm).
• The power source mode is not on (READY).

The hybrid control system will stop when any of the following conditions is met:

• 10 minutes elapse after the hybrid control system is started.
• The shift lever is moved from P.
• Any door is opened.
• Any door is unlocked.
• The engine hood is opened.
• The power switch is pressed.
• The engine speed is kept more than 3000 rpm for 3 seconds.
• A vehicle speed signal is input (more than 5 km/h (3 mph)).
• The brake pedal is depressed.
• The theft deterrent system is in the alarm sounding state (except panic alarm).
• 3 seconds elapse after the power source mode is changed from on (READY) to others.
