Back-up Light Circuit [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2015 - ] ).

   OK

   Hybrid control system DTCs are not output.

Result: 

NG 

GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM 

(Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2014 - ] )

Result: 

OK

1. Using a voltmeter, check the signal reading of the engine room junction block assembly (Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [10/2015 - ] ).

   OK

   Output signal reading is normal.

Result: 

NG 

INSPECT ENGINE ROOM JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY (RESULTS OF SIGNAL READING CHECK) 

(Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 )

Result: 

OK

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Disconnect the O7 rear light assembly LH connector.
2. Disconnect the O1 rear light assembly RH connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1M-1 (MGCT) - O7-3 (B)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   1M-1 (MGCT) - O1-3 (B)	Always	Below 1 Ω

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK

1. Disconnect the A68 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   1F-9 (MCLS) - A68-2 (BL)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   1F-9 (MCLS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

1. Replace the engine room junction block assembly with a new or known good one (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - ] ).
2. Check that the back-up lights operate normally.
