- INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 4 (F) - 1 (E) Hazard warning signal switch off 10 kΩ or higher Hazard warning signal switch on Below 1 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Component without harness connected
(Hazard Warning Signal Switch Assembly)If the result is not as specified, replace the hazard warning signal switch assembly.
- Illumination Inspection
- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the hazard warning signal switch assembly and check that the switch illuminates.

Condition Specified Condition Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+)
Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-)Illuminates TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Component without harness connected

- Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the hazard warning signal switch assembly and check that the switch illuminates.
