Power Management Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D105 power management control ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D105-25 (CA1H) - D105-24 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Power Management Control ECU)

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 
    1. Reconnect the D105 power management control ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the D104 power management control ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D104-6 (E1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Power Management Control ECU)

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL) 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL) 
    1. Reconnect the D104 power management control ECU connector.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      A54-5 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      A53-2 (+B2) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Power Management Control ECU)

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [10/2014 - 10/2015] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)
