Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Communication Stop Mode [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)
    2. Disconnect the D135 and D136 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      BUS 2 BRANCH LINE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D136-25 (CA1H) - D136-24 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      BUS 5 MAIN LINE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      D135-34 (CA2H) - D136-35 (CA2L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to 
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Hybrid Vehicle Control ECU Assembly)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D135-5 (E01) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      D135-6 (E1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      D136-4 (E12) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
      D136-5 (E02) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the D135 and D136 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connectors.
    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A67-1 (+B2) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      A68-4 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]
