Open in Bus 3 Main Bus Line [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NO. 8 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-)auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the D133 No. 8 CAN junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 8 CAN Junction Connector)
      *b to Central Gateway ECU (CA3H and CA3L Terminal)
      *c to Central Gateway ECU (CAYH and CAYL Terminal)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Connected to
      D133-9 (CANH) - D133-20 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-)auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (CA3H and CA3L terminal)
      D133-10 (CANH) - D133-21 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-)auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω Central gateway ECU (CAYH and CAYL terminal)

    REPLACE NO. 8 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Central Gateway ECU)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D129-6 (CA3H) - D129-21 (CA3L) Cable disconnected from negative (-)auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω

      Result

      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINES OR CONNECTOR (NO. 8 CAN JUNCTION CONNECTOR - CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

  3. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (CENTRAL GATEWAY ECU) 
    1. Remove the central gateway ECU.

      Refer to REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D129-19 (CAYH) - D129-20 (CAYL) Cable disconnected from negative (-)auxiliary battery terminal 108 to 132 Ω
