DTC P31D1-359: Parking Lock Enabling Signal Circuit Range / Performance; DTC P31D2-357: Parking Lock Enabling Signal Circuit Low; DTC P31D3-358: Parking Lock Enabling Signal Circuit High [09/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) See step 1
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (SKID CONTROL ECU)
- Check the connector connection and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the skid control ECU connector. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [09/2013 - ]
.
OK
The connector is connected securely and there are no contact pressure problems.
NG → CONNECT SECURELY
OK: Go to next step
- Check the connector connection and contact pressure of the relevant terminals for the skid control ECU connector. Refer to ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT INSPECTION PROCEDURE [09/2013 - ]
.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - SKID CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect connector A56 from the power management control ECU.
- Disconnect connector A19 from the skid control ECU.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A56-32 (ILK) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Rear view of wire harness connector
(to Power Management Control ECU)*b Front view of wire harness connector
(to Skid Control ECU)NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the power management control ECU and skid control ECU connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A56-32 (ILK) - A19-21 (EXO) Power switch off Below 1 Ω Standard Resistance (Check for Short)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A56-32 (ILK) or A19-21 (EXO) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher - Connect the skid control ECU connector.
- Connect the power management control ECU connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
