Charging Indicator Circuit [09/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.
- Check DTCs.
Result
Result Proceed to No DTCs are output. A DTCs are output. B - Turn the power switch off.
B → GO TO DTC CHART
A: Go to next step
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (CHARGE LIGHT STATUS)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List / Charge Light Status.
- Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

Operation of the charging indicator matches the display of the Data List.

- INSPECT INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY (CHARGING INDICATOR)
- Remove the indicator light assembly.
- Check the charging indicator.

- CHECK FUSE (CHRG IND)
- Remove the CHRG IND fuse from the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block).
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

NG → CHECK FOR SHORT IN ALL HARNESSES AND CONNECTORS CONNECTED TO FUSE AND REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- Remove the CHRG IND fuse from the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block).
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the connector K30 from the indicator light assembly.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INDICATOR LIGHT ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the connector K30 from the indicator light assembly.
- Disconnect connector A56 from the power management control ECU.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
