Brake Override System [09/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.
- Check DTCs.RESULT
Result Proceed to No DTCs are output A DTCs are output B - Turn the power switch off.
B → GO TO DTC CHART
A: Go to next step
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (STOP LIGHT SWITCH)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List / Stop Light Switch.
- Check the Data List indication when the brake pedal is depressed and released.
OK
Techstream Display Condition Specified Condition Stop Light Switch Brake pedal released OFF Brake pedal depressed ON - Turn the power switch off.

- INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL
- Inspect and adjust the brake pedal. Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2013 - ]

HINT:
If the stop light switch turns ON too late, the start of brake override system control may be delayed; if it turns ON too soon, brake override system control may begin too early, so conduct an inspection of the brake pedal and stop light switch assembly.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE BRAKE PEDAL

- Inspect and adjust the brake pedal. Refer to ADJUSTMENT [09/2013 - ]

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (ACCELERATOR DEGREE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List / Accelerator Degree.
- Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / EV / Data List / Vehicle Spd.
- Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

HINT:
Data can be captured relatively easily by using the snapshot function in the Data List. Confirm the data after performing the drive test.

- Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

- INSPECT STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [09/2013 - ]
