Removal [09/2013 - ]
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work. Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2013 - ] .
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2013 - ] .
- REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] - Step 16
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL . Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] - Step 17
- REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] - Step 2
- REMOVE STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER . Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] - Step 3
- REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING
- Remove the brake pedal return spring from the brake pedal support assembly and push rod pin.
- REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN
- Remove the clip from the push rod pin.
- Remove the push rod pin from the push rod clevis.
- REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY
- Remove the bolt and separate the brake pedal support assembly from the instrument panel reinforcement.
- Disengage the 3 clamps and disconnect the connector.
- Remove the 4 nuts and brake pedal support assembly.
- REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL STROKE SENSOR ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] - Step 5
- REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL PAD
- Remove the brake pedal pad from the brake pedal support assembly.
