Driver Side Seat Heater does not Operate [09/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Disconnect the air conditioning control assembly connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E91-1 (+B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V
   E91-2 (ACC) - Body ground	Power switch on (ACC)	11 to 14 V
   E91-9 (IG+) - Body ground	Power switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E91-16 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the seat heater control sub-assembly LH connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   K32-3 (B) - Body ground	Power switch on (IG)	11 to 14 V

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   K32-2 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] .
2. Inspect the front seat cushion heater assembly LH. Refer to INSPECTION [09/2013 - ] .

NG → See step   10 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Remove the front seat back heater assembly LH. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] .
2. Inspect the front seat back heater assembly LH. Refer to INSPECTION [09/2013 - ] .

NG → See step   11 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the E116 air conditioning amplifier assembly connectors.
2. Disconnect the K32 seat heater control sub-assembly LH connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E116-2 (TSL) - K32-5 (TDC+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E116-11 (SHD+) - K32-1 (TH)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E116-19 (SG) - K32-4 (TDC-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E116-2 (TSL) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E116-11 (SHD+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E116-19 (SG) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Temporarily replace the seat heater control sub-assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] .

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Check the seat heater system. Refer to OPERATION CHECK [09/2013 - ] .

   OK

   Seat heater system operates normally.

NG → See step   8 

OK → END (SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH WAS DEFECTIVE) 

1. Temporarily replace the air conditioning control assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] .

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Check the seat heater system. Refer to OPERATION CHECK [09/2013 - ] .

   OK

   Seat heater system operates normally.
