Parking Brake Switch Circuit [09/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Using the Techstream, read the Data List. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [09/2013 - ] .

   The display is as specified in the normal condition column.

NG → See step   2 

OK → See step   4 

1. Remove the parking brake switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2013 - ] .
2. Inspect the parking brake switch assembly. Refer to INSPECTION [09/2013 - ] .

NG → See step   5 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the E41 parking brake switch assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the ID main body ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E41-1 - ID-4 (PKB)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E41-1 - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
