DTC U0100: Lost Communication with ECM / PCM "A" [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC U0100) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC U0100 is output A
      U0100 and other DTCs are output B

    Result:  1

    A 

    REPLACE ECM. Refer to  COMPONENTS [12/2013 - 11/2016]  Refer to  COMPONENTS [11/2016 - ] 

    Result:  2

    B 

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2013 - 08/2014]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2014 - 11/2015]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2015 - 11/2016]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2016 - 10/2017]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [10/2017 - ]
