DTC P0711: Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor "A" Performance [12/2013 - 11/2015]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0711) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Trouble Codes.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

    5. Read the DTCs using the Techstream.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Only DTC P0711 is output A
      P0711 and other DTCs are output B

      HINT: 

      If any DTCs other than P0711 are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first.

    Result:  2

    GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [12/2013 - 08/2014]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2014 - 11/2015] 

    Result:  1

    See step  2

  2. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL 
    1. Check the transmission fluid level.

      Refer to ADJUSTMENT [12/2013 - 11/2016]

      OK

      Automatic transmission fluid level is correct.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE (ATF TEMPERATURE SENSOR). Refer to  COMPONENTS [12/2013 - ] 

    Result:  2

    NG 

    ADJUST FLUID LEVEL
