On-Vehicle Inspection [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

- FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY OPERATION
- Check fuel pressure.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Start the engine.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Target Fuel Pressure Offset.
Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
Active Test Display Control the Target Fuel Pressure Offset Data List Display Fuel Pressure (High) - Select the Data List item: Fuel Pressure (High).
- Check that the fuel pressure fluctuates when the target fuel pressure changes.
HINT:
The target fuel pressure operation decreases the target fuel pressure by 12.5% or increases the target fuel pressure by 24.8%.
If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump assembly or fuel delivery pipe with sensor assembly LH (fuel pressure sensor).
- Check operating sound.
- Remove the front wiper motor and link assembly.
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]
- Remove the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4
- Start the engine.
- Using a sound scope, check the operating sound of the fuel pump assembly.
If no sound can be heard, check the fuel pump assembly, wire harness and ECM.
- Stop the engine.
- Install the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly.
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
- Install the front wiper motor and link assembly.
Refer to INSTALLATION [12/2013 - ]
- Remove the front wiper motor and link assembly.
- Check fuel pressure.
