Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] 

  2. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY 
    1. Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.

      • SST: 09960-10010 
        1. 09962-01000
        2. 09963-00700
    2. Remove the 4 bolts and water pump pulley.

      HINT: 

      There is not enough clearance to completely remove the water pump pulley from the water pump shaft. Remove the water pump pulley together with the engine water pump assembly.

  5. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 15 bolts, engine water pump assembly, water pump pulley and water pump gasket.
