Pattern Select Switch Snow Mode Circuit [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the Techstream on.
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Snow Mode SW.

   Powertrain > Engine > Data List 

   Tester Display
   Snow Mode SW

4. Read the value displayed on the Techstream.

   OK

   Condition	Techstream Display (Snow Mode SW)
   SNOW mode switch pushed and held	ON
   SNOW mode switch not pushed	OFF

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result:  1

OK 

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [11/2016 - ]

1. Inspect the pattern select switch assembly (SNOW mode switch).
   • for 2WD: Refer to INSPECTION [11/2016 - ]
   • for AWD: Refer to INSPECTION [11/2016 - ]

REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

• for 2WD: Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]
• for AWD: Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

1. Disconnect the pattern select switch assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   F42-8 (2ND) - C1-105 (SNWI)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   F42-8 (2ND) or C1-105 (SNWI) - Body ground and other terminals	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
