DTC P2797-96: Electromagnetic Oil Pump Component Internal Failure [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Stop and Start / Trouble Codes.
5. Read the DTCs

   Powertrain > Stop and Start > Trouble Codes 

   Result	Proceed to
   DTC P279796 is output	A
   DTCs P279796 and P323A19 are output	B

Result: 

A 

REPLACE ENGINE STOP AND START ECU.  Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] .

Result: 

B

1. Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   F123-9 (EMOP) - F123-8 (EGND)	20°C (68°F)	5.0 to 5.6 Ω

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE ENGINE STOP AND START ECU.  Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ] .

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the engine stop and start ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the transmission wire connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   F123-9 (EMOP) - F123-8 (EGND)	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG

REPLACE OIL PUMP WITH SOLENOID ASSEMBLY 

• for 2WD Models:

  Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2016 - ]

• for AWD Models:

  Refer to DISASSEMBLY [11/2016 - ]

1. Remove the engine stop and start solenoid filter.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance
