Inspection [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure for the intake side and exhaust side.

    1. Apply battery voltage to the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly and check that the plunger operates.

      *a Component without harness connected
      (Camshaft Timing Oil Control Solenoid Assembly)

      OK

      The plunger extends outwards 5.9 mm (0.232 in.) or more.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the camshaft timing oil control solenoid assembly.
