How To Proceed With Troubleshooting [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE 
    1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard Voltage

      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, replace or recharge the battery before proceeding.

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  3. CHECK NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for Navigation Receiver Type) 
    1. Refer to Navigation System.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2013 - ] .

      Result Proceed to
      Navigation system is normal A
      Navigation system is abnormal B

    Result: 

    GO TO NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for Navigation Receiver Type).  

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2013 - ] .

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  4. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM* 
    1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

      Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2016 - ] .

      Result Proceed to
      CAN DTCs are not output A
      CAN DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM.  

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2016 - ] .

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  5. CHECK FOR DTC* 
    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ] 

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Trouble Codes 

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ] 

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Clear DTCs 

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Try to reproduce the DTC by simulating the original activity that the DTC suggests.

      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Trouble Codes 

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      DTCs are output B

    Result: 

    See step  8

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  6. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
    1. Refer to the Problem Symptoms Table.

      Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [11/2016 - ] 

      Result Proceed to
      Fault is not listed in Problem Symptoms Table A
      Fault is listed in Problem Symptoms Table B

    Result: 

    ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  7. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
    1. Data List / Active Test

      Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2016 - ] 

    2. Terminals of ECU

      Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU [11/2016 - ] 

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  8. ADJUST, REPAIR OR REPLACE 

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  9. CONFIRMATION TEST 

    Result: 

    NEXT
