Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  5

  4. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

  5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Move the shift lever to N.
    2. Separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

    3. Rotate the nut counterclockwise approximately 180° and, while holding the nut in that position, separate the transmission control cable assembly from the transmission floor shift assembly.

      *a Counterclockwise
    4. Remove the clip from the transmission control shaft lever as shown in the illustration.

    5. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly with the clip from the No. 1 transmission control cable bracket.

    6. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the clip from the transmission control cable assembly.

    7. Disengage the transmission control cable assembly from the No. 3 transmission control cable bracket.

    8. Turn back the dash panel insulator.

    9. Remove the 3 bolts and pull out the transmission control cable assembly from the cabin.
