Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR STAY HOLDER COVER (w/o Pre-collision System) 
    1. w/ EC Mirror:
      1. Disengage the 2 claws and slide the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover as shown in the illustration.

      2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover.

  2. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/o Pre-collision System) 
    1. w/o EC Mirror:
      1. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the inner mirror base cover.

      2. Pull the lock lever in the direction indicated by the arrow (1) in the illustration, and slide the inner rear view mirror assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow (2) to remove it.

        *a Lock Lever
    2. w/ EC Mirror:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.

      3. Slide the inner rear view mirror assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.
  3. REMOVE NO. 2 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER (w/ Pre-collision System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 FORWARD RECOGNITION COVER (w/ Pre-collision System) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  5. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (w/ Pre-collision System) 
    1. w/o EC Mirror:

      1. Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.
      2. Slide the inner rear view mirror assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.
    2. w/ EC Mirror:
      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Disengage the clamp.

      3. Using a T20 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw.

      4. Slide the inner rear view mirror assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it.
