DTC B2228: PBD Unit Motor LH Circuit [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs 

2. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2013 - 11/2016]  Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2016 - ]

1. Disconnect the X7 multiplex network door ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the X1 power back door unit assembly set LH connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   X7-3 (BD+) - X1-1 (BD+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   X7-4 (BD-) - X1-2 (BD-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   X7-3 (BD+) or X1-1 (BD+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   X7-4 (BD-) or X1-2 (BD-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Temporarily replace the power back door unit assembly set LH with a new or known good one.

   Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

NEXT 

1. Clear the DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Clear DTCs 

2. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]

   Body Electrical > Back Door > Trouble Codes
