1. Perform the assist map writing. Refer to CALIBRATION [08/2013 - ] .
2. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ] .

   NOTE:

   DTC C1581 is cleared after the assist map is written.

1. Check if any of the parts listed below have been replaced with an incorrect part in the past.

   Related Part	ECM
   	Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
   	Brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU)

   NOTE:

   When removing a related part to check it, be sure to follow the appropriate procedures and precautions.

   • Refer to the following procedures to remove the ECM. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - 12/2013] .
   • Refer to the following procedures to remove the Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ] .
   • Refer to the following procedures to remove the brake actuator assembly (skid control ECU). Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - 12/2013] .

   HINT: 

   • DTC C1581 is stored when a part with an incorrect part number is installed for the related parts listed above.
   • When DTC C1581 is output when parts have not been exchanged, replace the power steering ECU assembly as it may have an internal malfunction.
