DTC C1234: Yaw Rate Sensor; DTC C1472: Acceleration Sensor [08/2013 - 12/2013]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2013 - ] .
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Start the engine.
- At a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more, drive the vehicle, turn the steering wheel, and decelerate (depress the brake pedal) the vehicle.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON again and check that no CAN communication system DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2013 - 12/2013]
.
Result
Result Proceed to CAN communication system DTC is not output. A CAN communication system DTC is output. B
B → See step 5
A: Go to next step
- CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Check that the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) has been installed properly. Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2013 - ]
.
OK
The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.
The sensor should not be tilted.
NG → See step 6
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)
- Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
- Disconnect the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I47-21 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Yaw Rate and Acceleration Sensor (Airbag Sensor Assembly))
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
OK: Go to next step
- Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
