TC and CG Terminal Circuit [10/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TC OF DLC3 - TC OF ECM) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Disconnect the A18 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D28-13 (TC) - A18-45 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 DLC3
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to ECM)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D28-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 DLC3

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (TC OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D28-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 DLC3

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR REPLACE ECM 

    OK → See step   4 

  4. REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2013 - ]
