DTC B15CC: Backup Battery Failure [10/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
4. Turn the Techstream on.
5. Perform "Health Check" and check for current DTCs. Refer to HEALTH CHECK [10/2013 - ] .

   Result

A: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the E11 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
2. Disconnect the E12 BUB (Back-Up Battery) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   E11-30 (BBI+) - E12-1 (BBO+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E11-13 (BBI-) - E12-5 (BBO-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E11-20 (CTR1) - E12-3 (BTR1)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E11-21 (CTR2) - E12-4 (BTR2)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   E11-30 (BBI+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E11-13 (BBI-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E11-20 (CTR1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   E11-21 (CTR2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the BUB (Back-Up Battery) with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ] .
   NOTE:

   The BUB (Back-Up Battery) must not be replaced while an ACN call is in progress. Refer to ACN CALL END [10/2013 - ] .

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [10/2013 - ] .

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again. Refer to HEALTH CHECK [10/2013 - ] .

   OK

   No DTC is output.

NG → See step   6 

OK → END 

1. Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver). Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ] .
   NOTE:

   • The engine switch must be off.
   • Do not replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.
