DTC B1572: Telephone Microphone Error [10/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Perform "Health Check" and check for current DTCs. Refer to HEALTH CHECK [10/2013 - ]

Result Proceed to DTC B1572 is output. A DTC B1572 is not output. B

- INSPECT INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY) TELEPHONE MICROPHONE POWER SOURCE
- Remove the inner rear view mirror assembly (telephone microphone assembly) but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ]

- Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition N2-9 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 4 to 6 V Standard Resistance

OK: Go to next step
- Remove the inner rear view mirror assembly (telephone microphone assembly) but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) - INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))
- Disconnect the E11 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.
- Disconnect the N2 inner rear view mirror assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E11-34 (MCI+) - N2-11 (MIC+) Always Below 1 Ω E11-35 (MCI-) - N2-12 (MIC-) Always Below 1 Ω E11-34 (MCI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E11-35 (MCI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher E11-32 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- INSPECT DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER) (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE POWER SOURCE)
- Remove the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ]

- Measure the voltage and resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Remove the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) but do not disconnect the connectors. Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ]

- REPLACE DCM (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
- Replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver). Refer to REMOVAL [10/2013 - ]
.NOTE:
- The engine switch must be off.
- Do not replace the DCM (Telematics Transceiver) with one from another vehicle.

- PERFORM PRL UPDATE
- Perform "PRL UPDATE". Refer to PRL UPDATE [10/2013 - ] .
