TC and CG Terminal Circuit: Procedure

- CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
- Check if the CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

- Check if the CAN communication DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC OF DLC3 - TC OF ECM AND BODY GROUND)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D16-13 (TC) - A39-16 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω D16-13 (TC) - Body Ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CG OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D16-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TC OF DLC3 - BODY GROUND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition D16-13 (TC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 6
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPAIR CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
- REPLACE 4WD CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
