DTC B1615/14: Front Airbag Sensor LH Malfunction: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
    3. Interchange the front airbag sensor RH with the front airbag sensor LH and connect the connectors to them.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    5. Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    6. Clear the DTCs stored in the memory. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
    7. Turn the ignition switch off.
    8. Turn the ignition switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    9. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs B1610/13 and B1615/14 are not output. A
      DTC B1615/14 is output. B
      DTC B1610/13 is output. C

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTCs B1610/13 and B1615/14 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

  2. REPLACE FRONT AIRBAG SENSOR LH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  3. REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING
