Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the E5 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the E15 No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E5-25 (ADPG) - E15-9 (AUXO) Always Below 1 Ω
      E5-11 (AGND) - E15-10 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      E5-26 (VAR+) - E15-6 (ARO) Always Below 1 Ω
      E5-28 (VAL+) - E15-7 (ALO) Always Below 1 Ω
      E5-27 (VA-) - E15-8 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      E5-25 (ADPG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E5-11 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E5-26 (VAR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E5-28 (VAL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      E5-27 (VA-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Radio and Display Receiver Assembly)
      *b Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
