Accessory Meter does not Illuminate: Procedure

1. Check the type of accessory meter assembly malfunction.

A: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the G3 and G4 accessory meter connectors.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   G3-5 (IG+) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V
   G3-6 (ACC) - Body ground	Ignition switch ACC	11 to 14 V
   G3-7 (B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V
   G4-1 (ILL+) - Body ground	Light control switch TAIL or HEAD	11 to 14 V

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G3-1 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK → See step   6 

1. Disconnect the F14 meter connector.
2. Disconnect the G4 accessory meter connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G4-4 (ILL-) - F14-11 (ILL-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   G4-4 (ILL-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the accessory meter assembly with a new or normally functioning one. Refer to REMOVAL .

   OK

   The operation of the accessory meter assembly returns to normal.
