Front Fog Light Circuit: Procedure

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (FRONT FOG LIGHT RELAY) 
    1. Using the Techstream, perform the Active Test. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST .
      MAIN BODY

      Front Fog Light Relay Front fog light relay ON/OFF -

      OK

      Front fog light relay operates (front fog lights come on).

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   4 

  2. CHECK MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      2D-9 - Body ground Headlight dimmer switch in tail and front fog light switch on 11 to 14 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Driver Side Junction Block Assembly)

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY) 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  4. REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL
