Accessory Meter does not Illuminate: Procedure

1. Check the malfunction of the accessory meter.

A: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect D50 the accessory meter assembly connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   D50-1 (IG) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V
   D50-9 (+B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D50-16 (SGND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

1. Remove the drive monitor switch. Refer to REMOVAL .

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

1. Disconnect the D68 drive monitor switch connector.
2. Disconnect the D18 combination meter assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the D50 accessory meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the D18 combination meter assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   D50-2 (HSI+) - D18-5 (LCL+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D50-2 (HSI+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   D50-6 (SYNC) - D18-6 (SYNC)	Always	Below 1 Ω

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the accessory meter assembly with a new or a known good one. Refer to REMOVAL .

   OK

   The operation of accessory meter assembly returns to normal.
