DTC B1500: Fuel Sender Open Detected: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL INPUT)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
- According to the display on the Techstream, read the Data List.COMBINATION METER

- INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the D18 combination meter assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the D18 combination meter assembly connector.
- Disconnect the g2 fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*a Component without harness connected
(Fuel Sender Gauge Assembly)- - - Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly. Refer to 2GR-FE - REMOVAL or 1AR-FE - REMOVAL .
- Check that the float moves smoothly between E and F.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
