INSPECT FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Check whether the drive shaft dimensions are within the following specifications.

The following table shows the dimension (A) of the drive shaft.

Dimension (A)

Drive Type	LH Side	RH Side
for 2WD	650.5 mm (2.13 ft.)	971.7 mm (3.187 ft.)
for AWD	650.5 mm (2.13 ft.)	973.1 mm (3.191 ft.)

Check that there is no excessive play in the outboard joint.

Check that the inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction.
Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the inboard joint and outboard joint.
Check the boots for damage.
