Power Back Door Drive Unit: Removal: Removal

  1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING REAR GARNISH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 19
  2. SEPARATE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 
  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 17
  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 24 .

  5. REMOVE SLIDE DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the RH side. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 13 .

  6. SEPARATE SLIDE DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH 
  7. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 27
  8. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 WINDOW SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY LH  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 29
  9. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR ROD  See step  4
  10. REMOVE POWER BACK DOOR UNIT 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the clip and 4 bolts.
    3. Disengage the guide and remove the power back door unit.
