Front Passenger Side Seat Belt Warning Light Malfunction: Procedure

1. Clear the DTC. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .
2. Recheck for DTCs.

1. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
2. Recheck for DTCs.

1. Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
5. According to the display on the Techstream, perform the Active Test.

   The front passenger side seat belt warning light on the telltale light assembly operates normally.

1. Disconnect the D51 telltale light connector.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   D51-2 (B) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V
   	Ignition switch off	Below 1 V

3. Reconnect the telltale light connector.

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the D18 combination meter assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the D51 telltale light connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D18-35 (P/SB) - D51-1 (PBEW)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D51-1 (PBEW) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

4. Reconnect the telltale light connector.
5. Reconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the telltale light assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Check the front passenger side seat belt warning light operation. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION .

NG → See step   11 

OK → END (TELLTALE LIGHT ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE)
