DTC 13: Swivel Motor Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the Q9 power seat motor assembly (swivel motor) connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition Q9-1 (SMIN) - Body ground No. 2 power seat switch assembly (egress switch) off → on Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V Q9-4 (SMOT) - Body ground No. 2 power seat switch assembly (ingress switch) off → on Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Power Seat Motor Assembly (Swivel Motor)) - Reconnect the power seat motor assembly (swivel motor) connector.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - SWIVEL MOTOR)
- Disconnect the Q4 position control ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the Q9 power seat motor assembly (swivel motor) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q4-10 (TRNO) - Q9-1 (SMIN) Always Below 1 Ω Q4-11 (TRNI) - Q9-4 (SMOT) Always Below 1 Ω Q4-10 (TRNO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Q4-11 (TRNI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the power seat motor assembly (swivel motor) connector.
- Reconnect the position control ECU assembly connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- REPLACE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (SWIVEL MOTOR). Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
