DTC 12: Front-rear Slide Motor Malfunction: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the Q10 power seat motor assembly (front-rear slide motor) connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition Q10-1 (FMFR) - Body ground Power seat switch assembly (front slide switch) off → on Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V No. 2 power seat switch assembly (front slide switch) off → on Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V Q10-2 (FMRR) - Body ground Power seat switch assembly (rear slide switch) off → on Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V No. 2 power seat switch assembly (rear slide switch) off → on Below 1 V → 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Power Seat Motor Assembly (Front-rear Slide Motor)) - Reconnect the power seat motor assembly (front-rear slide motor) connector.

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY - FRONT-REAR SLIDE MOTOR)
- Disconnect the Q4 position control ECU assembly connector.
- Disconnect the Q10 power seat motor assembly (front-rear slide motor) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition Q4-9 (SLFR) - Q10-1 (FMFR) Always Below 1 Ω Q4-3 (SLBC) - Q10-2 (FMRR) Always Below 1 Ω Q4-9 (SLFR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher Q4-3 (SLBC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher - Reconnect the power seat motor assembly (front-rear slide motor) connector.
- Reconnect the position control ECU assembly connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- REPLACE POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (FRONT-REAR SLIDE MOTOR). Refer to DISASSEMBLY
- REPLACE POSITION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to DISASSEMBLY
