DTC B1595: No Response from Rear Seat Entertainment System; DTC B15D5: Rear Seat Entertainment System Disconnected: Procedure

1. Check for optional components.
   1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      HINT: 

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

A: Go to next step 

1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
   NOTE:

   Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

NG → See step   4 

OK → END 

1. Disconnect the U1 television display assembly connector.

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   U1-27 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U1-12 (GND2) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   U1-28 (+B) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V
   U1-14 (+B2) - Body ground	Always	11 to 14 V
   U1-13 (ACC) - Body ground	Ignition switch ACC	11 to 14 V

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the U1 television display assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the L18 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   U1-8 (TX+) - L18-12 (TX1+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U1-22 (TX-) - L18-11 (TX1-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   U1-8 (TX+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   U1-22 (TX-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the L20 stereo component tuner assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the D67 multi-media interface ECU connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   L20-9 (TX+) - D67-4 (TX2+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   L20-10 (TX-) - D67-5 (TX2-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   L20-9 (TX+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   L20-10 (TX-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the D66 multi-media interface ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the D59 navigation receiver assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   D66-9 (TX1+) - D59-9 (TXM+)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D66-10 (TX1-) - D59-10 (TXM-)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   D66-9 (TX1+) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   D66-10 (TX1-) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Replace the television display assembly with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL .
2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

NG → See step   9 

OK → END (TELEVISION DISPLAY IS FAULTY) 

1. Replace the stereo component tuner assembly with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL .
2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

NG → See step   10 

OK → END (STEREO COMPONENT TUNER ASSEMBLY IS FAULTY) 

1. Replace the multi-media interface ECU with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL .
2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

   OK

   No DTCs are output.

NG → See step   11 

OK → END (MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU IS FAULTY)
