Speaker Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK SPEAKER 
    1. Check the malfunctioning speakers.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Malfunction in front speaker area A
      Malfunction in rear speaker area B

  2. CHECK SPEAKER 
    1. Check the malfunctioning speakers.

  3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the G8*1 and/or H6*2 front No. 1 speaker assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Always 1.65 to 2.15 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER) 
    1. Disconnect the L3 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G8*1 and/or H6*2 front No. 1 speaker assembly connector.
      • *1: for RH
      • *2: for LH
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      for RH 

      for LH 

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L3-2 (WFR+) - G8-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      L3-6 (WFR-) - G8-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      L3-2 (WFR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the D80*1 and/or D11*2 front No. 2 speaker assembly connector.

  7. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER 
    1. Disconnect the D73 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D73-2 (SPI+) - D73-5 (SPO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      D73-3 (SPI-) - D73-6 (SPO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      D73-2 (SPI+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D73-3 (SPI-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    3. Reconnect the telematics transceiver connector.

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER) 
    1. Disconnect the L4 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D80*1 and/or D11*2 front No. 2 speaker assembly connector.
      • *1: for RH
      • *2: for LH
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

    1. Disconnect the L3 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the D48 front No. 3 speaker assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L3-3 (CTR+) - D48-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      L3-9 (CTR-) - D48-4 Always Below 1 Ω
