Mute Signal Circuit Between Stereo Component Amplifier And Telematics Transceiver: Procedure
- INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition D73-17 (MUTE) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC, audio system is playing → Emergency call mode Above 3.5 V → Below 1 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Component with harness connected

- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)
- Disconnect the L5 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
- Disconnect the D73 telematics transceiver connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L5-24 (TMUT) - D73-17 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω L5-24 (TMUT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
- Reconnect the L5 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition L5-24 (TMUT) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 3.5 V or higher TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Component without harness connected

- REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL
